Honest money advice.
No jargon. No agenda.
I'm Luis Paiva, and I started this blog because I got tired of personal finance advice that either talked down to people or quietly pushed products for commission without being upfront about it.
I live in the UK. I've made plenty of money mistakes — carrying credit card debt longer than I should have, leaving cash in a 0.1% savings account while inflation ate it, ignoring my pension until my thirties. This blog is everything I wish I'd known sooner.
What you'll find here
- Savings accounts that actually pay a decent rate
- How to start investing without needing to understand everything first
- ISAs, pensions, and tax — explained like a normal person
- Getting out of debt without crash diets or deprivation
- Side income ideas that are actually realistic in the UK
On affiliate links
Some articles contain affiliate links — if you open an account or buy something through one of my links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend products I'd genuinely consider using myself, and I always say when a link is affiliate.
Affiliate income helps keep this site free and ad-free. If you'd rather not use my links, just go directly to the provider — no hard feelings.
This is not financial advice
Everything on this site is my personal opinion and general information. It is not regulated financial advice. Before making any significant financial decision, please do your own research and consider speaking to a qualified financial adviser.
